Annette Farley (customer service officer) celebrated 20 years working with East Gippsland Shire Council at the Orbost Service Centre last Friday, April 19.
Former and current colleagues including Trish Herman, Jenny Heyne, Stuart McConnell, Andrea Priestley, Neil Richards, Solange Maasodong and Carla Puglisi helped Annette celebrate the milestone with a surprise morning tea.
Annette has seen many changes to the services and facility over her two decades with council and has helped deliver countless children’s programs, including Rhyme time, Storytime and school holiday activities.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Annette said, “I absolutely love working with my customers”.
Through her work with council, Annette has also supported the many emergency events that have impacted Orbost, answered countless phone calls and front counter enquiries, and contributed to a great team supporting the community.
