Mother’s Day morning in Bemm River saw locals and visitors lacing up their walking shoes in the name of charity.
The annual Mother’s Day Classic, hosted by Rhonda Gillard, started at the Bemm River Hotel and concluded with a delightful morning tea which was put on by the hotel. everyone, it really was special,” Rhonda said.
In a significant move, this year marked the first time ovarian cancer had been included as a cause to support in the Mother’s Day Classic history.
Treatment options and therapies have shown only marginal improvement over the past three decades, and with no early detection test available, the need for action has never been more urgent.
Participants in the 2024 Mother’s Day Classic had the opportunity to rally behind breast cancer research, ovarian cancer research or both, empowering individuals to support the cause closest to their hearts.
