On Friday, August 9, Orbost’s Junior Rovers celebrated its 2024 football season with a barbecue dinner, ice cream dessert and medal/trophy presentation night.
For the under 11s, each player received a medallion for a terrific effort.
All showed tremendous skill improvement from beginning to end.
There are exciting times ahead for the junior club with the amount of player numbers, as they will only continue to improve their football skills each year.
In the under 13s, it was a good season by all, taking out four wins on the scoreboard but many more wins within each and every individual.
Learning more of their football craft and on field game play.
A team mixed with both boys and girls, some experienced, and some first year players.
A very well deserved effort by all.

It was a tough year for the under 15s group, who constantly battled through weekly injury however maintained a never give up attitude and only narrowly missed finals.

Best and fairest: Tye Robinson; Runner-up: Daniel Martin; Most determined: Zane Holley; Coach’s award: Cooper Findley; Most reliable: Jack Barnes; Most consistent: Xavier Martin.
The committee congratulated and applauded all involved and wished good luck to all players moving up in age and those 15s moving to senior Saturday football.
