The Orbost Neighbourhood House will be hosting an event during National Carers Week.
Caring can be emotionally and physically demanding, so the house are inviting all carers along for a free barbecue on October 17 from 11.30am.
Information will be available from a financial counsellor, carer support programs, care finders, Centrelink Aged Care Specialists, Community Home support Services and Wellbeing local.

The major upgrade of the Orbost Forest Park facilities is almost completed, and it’s set to be a hit with locals and visitors. Funded by $1.3 million from the previous Federal Government, and a $500,000 contribution from the East Gippsland Shire Council, the park will feature a new playground and toilet block, along with increased parking and the installation of a picnic area, will encourage more visitors to take a break in Orbost and explore the Snowy River region.
