There are plenty of things going on in the East Gippsland region – and there’s something for everyone.
BEMM RIVER
The 2024 Purvis Cup will be conducted on Saturday, October 19 at Bemm River. The event pits the Bemm River Angling Club against the Marlo Angling Club. The event celebrates 88 years of commercial free fishing at Bemm River and honours Jack Purvis who stopped the commercial fishing that would have destroyed the sustainability of the river.
CANN RIVER
The Cann Valley Photography group has done a wonderful job setting up the Monaro Centre for the photography contest and exhibition. The centre is open from 11am until 3pm daily and until the close of business on Saturday, punters are encouraged to come and view the entries and vote for your favourite.
MARLO
Marlo Angling Club will be offering up roast dinner and dessert at the clubhouse this Friday night from 6pm.
