Last Tuesday, the Orbost Senior Citizens Centre was abuzz with laughter and conversation as members gathered for their monthly luncheon.
The well-attended event offered a hearty meal of lamb casserole accompanied by vegetables, followed by a special musical performance.
Harpist Lin Hine, a resident of Bairnsdale and relation to one of the members, enchanted the audience with her soft, soothing melodies, creating a calm and enjoyable atmosphere for easy listening.
In addition to the monthly luncheons, the Orbost Senior Citizens Centre offers a full calendar of activities for its members.
These include card games on Saturday and Monday afternoons, where members can enjoy a round of 500. Monday mornings are dedicated to social bridge and on Tuesday afternoons, members can participate in carpet bowls.
The club is always welcoming new members.
While there is a small weekly fee to participate in activities, annual membership is modest ensuring all seniors in the community have the opportunity to join in the fun and stay socially active.
