BUCHAN
The Buchan Rodeo annual general meeting will be held at the Buchan Caves Hotel on Sunday from 6pm.
The Buchan Campdraft has had to be postponed this year and will hopefully reschedule in early 2025.
The Buchan Makers Market will have take place at the Buchan Butter Factory from November 2-5, operating between 2-5pm. Expressions of interest are being taken for stall holders who are happy to have their stalls manned by the Buchan Heritage Group.
CANN RIVER
The Bairnsdale Country Music Club combined with the Bombala Country Music Association will hold a “country music at its best afternoon” at the Cann River Hotel on Sunday, November 10 from 11am to 3.30pm. The event will feature the Back Road Boys Band, Ron Milliner, Michelle Russell, Danny Bowden, Graham Hampshire, Steve Mills, Barbara Saunders, Ronni Hofen, Lindsay and Gail Hammond.
DELEGATE
The Delegate Team Penning/Sorting event will be held on October 19-20.
MARLO
The Marlo Angling Club community market will be held on Sunday, November 3 from 8am to 1pm.There will be both indoor and outdoor stalls.
NOWA NOWA
The Nowa Nowa Recreation Reserve will host the “Solar Sessions”, a net zero concert series on Friday, November 8. The concert will featuring Wilson Blackley with his full band, Saije and sensational local performer Olivia Lay.
ORBOST
The Orbost Exhibition Centre is now the Orbost Arts Centre. Everything you love about the OEC is now the OAC. A fresh new look for the home of arts and culture experiences in Orbost, with the new brand drawing on the growth lines of cut trees, speaking to our rich past and focusing on showcasing wood design.
Concentric circles representing community, togetherness, and the role as a meeting/gathering place. Dissected colours represent the huge variety in what the centre does as a performing, visual arts and events centre. This design was by far the favourite according to the community engagement undertaken in February this year, and the name update is to be clearer about what the centre actually does.
A weekly bus is now departing the Orbost Neighbourhood House on a Monday at 8.15am, bound for the Lakes Aquadome. The bus returns at 11.45am.
