Wy Yung outclassed Orbost in round one of the Bairnsdale Cricket Association premier competition on Saturday at Bullumwaal Road.
New Tiger skipper, Stevie Bertino won the toss and sent the Blues in on a track that offered plenty for the bowlers, as the Wy Yung bowlers took advantage of the bowler friendly conditions.
The Blues were quickly in trouble against the opening attack of Bertino (4/16) and the luckless Jason Clemm (0/21).
Only Alex Hulme offered any real resistance, making a well compiled 22 from 37 balls, before being bowled by promising Tiger youngster, Harry Forbes (1/12).
Nick Hulme was the only other player to reach double figures for Orbost making 10, but even his score was surpassed by extras, which reached 13, the Blues bundled out for just 76 in 33 overs.
Other wicket takers were Darcy Murray (2/11) and Caleb Ellett who picked 3/8 with his medium pacers, a couple of those from full tosses that were hit straight to the fieldsmen.
With the wicket improving the Tigers made easy work of the target, knocking over the runs in just 21 overs for the loss of just one wicket.
Darcy Murray was adjudged leg before wicket, for 26 to the bowling of young Kruze Farley, who has crossed back to the Blues this season after playing for Nagle last season.
Recent Buchan premiership players, Chris Mathers and son, Noah, played for the Tigers on Saturday, Chris remaining 24 not out, at the crease with Cameron McPhan (6), when stumps were drawn early for the afternoon.
The Tigers certainly got the better of the conditions, the onus will be now on them to back up their performance, where improvement is expected from Orbost in the coming weeks.
