The Australian Native Plants Society East Gippsland will host Jennifer Wilkinson, who is co-author of Wildflowers of East Gippsland at its October meeting.
Producing this book has been a 10-year voluntary project for James Turner and Jennifer Wilkinson, members of the Bairnsdale and District Field Naturalists Club.
Jennifer will talk about the book and her journey compiling it.
Wildflowers of East Gippsland is a hard cover book of 368 pages describing native flora from the East Gippsland area. It was recently launched and keenly received by native flora lovers.
The meeting will be held in Room 7, The Hub, Dalmahoy Street, Bairnsdale on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 1.30pm. Head along and hear all about it. There will be a door prize of a native plant for one lucky attendee as well as a trading table with plant related goods.
During afternoon tea a friendly exchange of ideas and knowledge completes the afternoon.
