Horse enthusiasts gathered at Moondale in Newmerella recently for an unforgettable experience with renowned horseman, Wayne Banney.
Hosted by Erica Gamble, the clinics offered riders the chance to refine their skills and deepen their connection with their horses under the guidance of an instructor with more than 30 years of expertise.
Wayne Banney’s clinics featured a variety of classes catering to all levels of experience, from introductory sessions for beginners and young or green horses to advanced classes for seasoned riders.
Blending groundwork with ridden exercises, Wayne tailored each session to the unique needs of the horses and their riders.
Wayne is renowned for his passion which lies in creating a better deal for the horse where he teaches riders as much about themselves as he does about their horses.
The week’s sessions provided invaluable opportunities for participants to overcome challenges, fine-tune their skills and prepare for pursuits such as trail riding, dressage, show jumping, camp drafting and even extreme cowboy racing.
One standout moment saw Wayne working collaboratively with participants in the round yard, guiding them step-by-step from handling unbroken horses to saddling and riding them.
One participant expressed their excitement, saying, “Everyone learnt lots of new things, and Jamie was pretty pleased to be able to ride the young grey stallion.”
