Are you ready to take your event to the next level?

East Gippsland Shire Council is inviting event organisers to register their interest for a 12-week online Regional Event Management Training Program.

The course will run from March 27 to June 12, with six live and interactive groups sessions held on Thursdays from 12 to 1.20pm.

Delivered in partnership with the Australian Centre for Regional Events, this program is designed to empower event organisers to enhance their events, ensuring they are sustainable, impactful, and successful long-term.

The initiative will support five home-grown events unique to East Gippsland, offering not-for-profit events five licences to enable their committees to participate.

Aligned with council’s Event Action Plan 2021–26, this comprehensive 12-week training covers all stages of event planning. Participants will gain access to 13 eLearning modules, six live group sessions, a rich resource library, and ongoing support.

Additional benefits include a certificate of completion, a digital badge for event promotion, and a 12-month membership with the Australian Centre for Regional Events.

The program will prioritise events in high-yield areas such as arts and culture, sport and leisure, boating and fishing, food and wine, agriculture, business events, and car club activities that meet program criteria.

Council is committed to fostering events that deliver social and economic benefits, attract visitors from within and outside the region, and showcase East Gippsland as a premier destination.

For program details and to submit your application, visit council’s website.
