East Gippsland Veterans Golf is about to set on its 2025 season with the first game of the year programmed for the Sale Golf Club on January 20.
That will be followed by events at Lakes Entrance (February 10), Metung (March 3), Orbost (April 28), Bairnsdale (May 12), Loch Sport (June 16), South Pines (July 21), Maffra (August 11), Yarram (September 8). Buchan (October 13), Heyfield (November 17) and Newry (December 1).
The Newry event will also act as the annual general meeting.
Zone challenges will be held on April 7, September 8 and November 10.
On March 17-18 Lakes Entrance will host the Victorian Veterans Golf 4BBB Championship.
Entry is open to any veteran golf member, with early registration imperative as the field size is restricted and already 25 per cent of the field is booked.
Veterans golf membership is open to golfers aged 55 or older with a handicap and provides the opportunity to play a different course each month plus being eligible to play in regional, state and national challenges and championships.
Membership only costs $10 payable when you register and monthly games cost $25 which includes your lunch.
