Schoolworks is set for another busy back to school booklist season with $400 State Government School Savings Bonus initiative (SSB), which has been provided to all students attending government schools.
“The School Savings Bonus has certainly been a great help for parents with the cost of living pressures,” owner of Schoolworks Supplies, Charlotte Tiffin said.
“$400 is a huge amount to help pay for school items. For us, customers can use it for textbooks and the school bags for Bairnsdale Secondary College.
“Unfortunately, there are a few restrictions with certain purchases, such as stationery, which are not eligible. “However, overall it’s been good for our sales.”
Locally owned, Schoolworks is your one stop school booklist and stationery shop, which has been supporting students, parents and teachers from East Gippsland for many years.
Each January, the team at Schoolworks are busy packing thousands of school booklist in preparation for the start of term one.
These booklists consist of stationery and textbooks and with more than 400 different items, the logistics of ordering, stocking and packing orders can be challenging.
If you haven’t submitted your school booklist, do not despair, contact the team at Schoolworks either at the shop or call them.
In addition, they have a retail shop stocking all the latest Australian and Victorian Curriculum books and resources from leading education publishers.
These consist of workbooks, wall charts, flash cards and educational games.
There is also a great selection of children’s books ranging from toddler’s board books through to fiction and non-fiction books for young adults.
They have also expanded their range to include primary school backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles, library bags and art smocks.
A weekly story time session is run each Friday morning at 10am during term time.
The Book Nook Café is also located at Schoolworks, so you can browse the books and enjoy a barista made coffee and light lunch.
With lots of easy off street parking, a visit to your local school bookshop to stock up ready for term one is a must.
School booklists are ready for collection, so if you haven’t already collected your back to school booklist, please call in and pick up your order.
If you wish to use your SSB, please bring it along with you.
The team at Schoolworks wish to thank everyone who has supported their local small business with their purchases of stationery and school books this back to school season.
