The Landcare Expo at the Orbost Show this year is offering a fun opportunity to learn from the best at Gardening Australia: Hannah Maloney is presenting the Power of Soil is in Your Hands.
Far East Victoria Landcare (FEVL) is excited that Hannah is visiting the expo.
She is a host for ABC TV’s Gardening Australia (she described as a “dream gig”), a permaculture educator, community worker, designer and best-selling author.
She has spent the past two decades getting her hands dirty in the garden, with community change projects, political and front-line activism.
She will be giving an open presentation at 10.30am at the expo site, but at 12.30pm she is also offering a special workshop.
This is an opportunity to meet and learn directly from Hannah.
The workshop focusses on healthy soil but can assist you to gain life skills that may help grow your future, and to be empowered to sow the seeds to drive positive change.
FEVL facilitator Josh Puglisi is seeking participants to book into the workshop. It may also include a special musical surprise afterwards.
Learn how and why composting can dramatically assist: soil carbon building, in water and nutrients building and retention.
“This is a one-off opportunity, it is hands on and going to be fun,”Josh said.
So book now, numbers limited for the workshop with Hannah.
This project is part of FEVL TopSoils program and is funded by the Australian Government through funding from the Natural Heritage Trust under the Climate-Smart Agriculture Program.
