Mallacoota Gun Club will rebuild. The club will receive $286,713 to rebuild its facilities after the devastating bushfires as part of the State Government’s Shooting Sports Facilities Program, while nearly $300,000 will go towards Olympic and Paralympic upgrades at Werribee Victorian Clay Target Club, while Sale Pistol Club will use $22,875 to install solar panels to bring power to the site.
Minister for Community Sport, Ros Spence, last Wednesday announced that 29 recipients across the state will share in$4 million as part of the latest round of the program.
The grants allow clubs to improve the quality and sustainability of local shooting sports facilities and activities.
“The funding for the rebuild of the Mallacoota Gun Club after the devastating bushfires last year means the club will be able to build a bigger and better facility that will be able to serve the clay target communities of East Gippsland for many years to come,” Mallacoota Gun Club treasurer, David Whittle, said.
