Cann River limping

Businesses in Cann River are struggling financially to stay afloat with the current Victoria-New South Wales border closures.
Cann River essentially relies on cross border trade, capturing visitors from NSW coming into Victoria and Victorians passing through the township en route to interstate destinations.
As the lockdown in New South Wales drags on indefinitely, some businesses in Cann River have shut their doors while others are operating on reduced hours.
A sign in the window of Wild Rye’s Bakery reads: “Unfortunately there isn’t enough traffic passing through since borders are closed to New South Wales, so we will only be open till just after lunch. Sorry from all of us at WR”.
