President steps down

Orbost and District Chamber of Commerce and Industry president for the past 18 years, Susan Hooper, retired from her role prior to the annual general meeting last Tuesday.
Like the longtime work of Garry Squires as secretary of Orbost Chamber, Mrs Hooper’s term as president is most noteworthy.
Incoming president for 2021-22, Sammi Reynolds, said everyone recognised the great work of Mrs Hooper, to be committed to chamber for so long, especially as president, a great social contribution to the community.
Mrs Reynolds thanked chamber members for their support in electing her as president.
“It will be an honour to serve in this manner at chamber,” she said.
Mrs Reynolds said she is committed to increasing the chamber’s already broad membership base.
