Budget constraints on Forest Park project

Budget constraints on Forest Park project

Orbost's Forest Park project has been amended due to budget constraints.
The project was costed at $1.8 million but it's understood price increases have resulted in the budget blowing out to over $500,000.
Rather than allow the blowout, the project has had to be modified to stay within budget.
The revised proposed concept plan has been accepted by council's funding partner, the Australian Government.
The project will deliver:
-    A new toilet block
-    A new junior play area
-    Main picnic shelter
-    Main retaining wall and;
-    A portion of the car park works.
