Beer inspired by Orbost

Beer inspired by Orbost

Indigenous chef and founder of Jarrah Boy craft brewery, Dale Vocale, is traveling through Gunaikurnai and Monero Ngarigo Country from August 1-4, to share the Jarrah Boy story with the people of his family’s ancestral Country and his connection to Orbost.
The idea to brew Jarrah Boy - an all-Australian beer with native bush food ingredients - is inspired by his beloved Nana-ghars, Myrtle Dolly Solomon, who loved nothing more than a beer and a yarn with her mates at the “top pub”  in Orbost after long days picking crops in the fields.
Now a renowned Indigenous chef and entrepreneur, Dale is bringing the story full circle - heading back to Orbost to yarn with locals and share the beer inspired by those childhood stories of his Nana-ghars.
Along the way, the Jarrah Boy team will be stopping at pubs, clubs and stores across Gippsland - from Wonthaggi to Traralgon, Sale to Lakes Entrance, and lots of stops in between - to share their story and a cold beer with locals.
