Vacation care’s last session

Vacation care’s last session

Orbost Primary School held its final vacation care program session last Thursday as the school prepares to transition to Orbost Community College.
“This morning we shared a special  morning tea to celebrate the end of vacation care and the memories we have made together,” Bev said last Thursday.  The students had all helped to create a canvas to mark the occasion.
However, for the remainder of term four, the Out of School Hours Care program will still be run on the premises.
In 2024, the programs will both be offered from the Orbost Community College.
Current staff members running the programs are Bev Weir, Bev Tyler and  Tanya Baker, under the guidance of coordinator, Janet Munn.
“A special acknowledgement goes to Janet for her outstanding work in this role over many years,” Bev Weir said.
The children who attend vacation care have become a close-knit group, often planning and running their own activities, such as gymnastics, with a wide range of skills attempted and mastered.
