Christmas in Orbost

Christmas in Orbost

There is no doubt that for local families, Christmas would not be Christmas without an Orbost Christmas Eve Festival and when the crowds flock to Nicholson Street this Sunday evening they are sure to be impressed.
The small committee do a stellar job to pull together one of  Orbost’s major events on the calendar, but it does not come easily, with months of planning and preparation to put it all together. Nicholson Street from McLeod St and Salisbury St will be closed from 5pm, withmost festivities kicking off from 6pm.
“Don’t worry about cooking dinner, come on down and support a local eatery or grab something from one of the local food stalls such as a sausage from the Orbost Cricket Club, baked potatoes from the Orbost Hockey Club or one of the many food vans that we have introduced this year,” Samantha Reynolds said.
“We held our final planning meeting last Sunday evening and there still are a few things to arrange but all in all it appears to be in place.
