Orbost, Marlo, Newmerella CFA members raised $15,648.95 for this year’s Good Friday Appeal, and with the QR code Eftpos donations, a further $2608.48 was added, bringing the total to an impressive $18,257.43.
“A huge thank you to the Orbost, Newmerella and Marlo CFA volunteers, we could not do it without your help,” organiser, Judy Farley, said.
“Also to the money counters, Orbost FoodWorks, Orbost IGA, River Baker Café and Orbost Bakery for the donations. 
“To the NAB Orbost and the other local businesses who have donation tins as well as the children and and adult volunteers who rattled tins.”
Raffles were conducted by Judy and Bev Farley in the lead-up to the day, with the ladies also helping with the catering and overall organisation on the day.
