A 38-year-old female driver has had her car impounded after being intercepted by Police in Orbost on Thursday, March 20.
Officers intercepted the female in Reed Street Orbost at about 3:30pm.
The female gave an evidentiary reading of 0.156, more than three times the legal limit.
The car was impounded at a cost of $1530, The female’s licence was immediately suspended and she is expected to be charged on summons.
This impound was a result of continued proactive patrols by local Orbost Police members.
Police encourage anyone who witnesses dangerous driving to contact crime stoppers or attend the police station to make a statement.
Without this information or statements, police are unable to process offenders unless they happen to be in the right place at the right time.
