Orbost Snowy Rovers returned to the winners list on Sunday with a comprehensive win over Paynesville in round four of the East Gippsland Football Netball Association under 13 competition at Lochiel Park.
The Blues bounced back strongly after being humbled by Lakes Entrance in the local derby seven days earlier, restricting the Gulls to a solitary point with ruthless defensive pressure.
Paynesville had no answer for Orbost’s dominance as they kicked an impressive 15 goals in their 30-point demolition.
Orbost set the tone with a four-goal opening term and there was no looking back, thrilling the healthy Mother’s Day crowd with
its performance.
Harlan Smith and Chad Rogers impressed up forward kicking three goals each, while Beau Russell and Kayden Smith slotted a couple each.
Good players were aplenty for the victorious Blues, but the coaching panel decided on Isabella-Rose Burt, Charlotte Burt, Angus Seal and Noah Hanratty
Orbost Snowy Rovers will play Wy Yung in under 15, 13 and 11 fixtures at Bullumwaal Road in Wy Yung on Sunday.
