Over the past six months, Mitch Farley has shown incredible dedication, travelling up and down the highway to take part in the Gippsland Sports Academy Hockey Program.
The improvement in his game has been outstanding, and he was thrilled to be awarded the David Drane Award for Hockey at the program’s recent graduation evening.
As a player, coach and umpire at Orbost Hockey Club, Farley is an invaluable member of the local hockey community.
His local club is incredibly proud of his achievements and grateful to the Gippsland Sports Academy and their coaches for their ongoing support and encouragement.
Farley was joined in the program by Orbost Hockey Club team mate, Chloe Findlay.
This has been a huge commitment for these two and their families to head down the line for many skills and fitness sessions, but the rewards in the improvement in their games are set to show for years.
