Olly Short’s dedication is unquestionable but luck isn’t with him at present.
The Marlo-based racer made the trek to Queensland for round three of the Australian Superbike series at the Queensland Raceway, keen to get his season back on track and bank some much needed championship points, but it was a case of one disaster after another.
Short spent most of the weekend, chasing clutch issues
and was able to bank any points at all.
After not finishing race one or two with the clutch issues, Short opted for the spare bike the final race.
Unfortunately the engine decided to let go on the final lap, Short limping home in 14th, his only finish for the weekend.
His focus is now on round four at Morgan Park Raceway in Queensland from June 13-15.
