After almost 25 years working as a dedicated educator at the Orbost Kindergarten, Casey Findley has decided to start a new venture in farming.
She first began her career in Early Childhood Education in the year 2000 as a young student completing work experience that then turned into a relief role.
In 2002, once she had finished year 12 she took on a permanent role at the kinder while she studied her Diploma in Early Childhood Studies.
During her time at the kinder she has taken on many roles over the years from playgroup leader, educator of three and four-year-old children, and starting the new three-year-old program when it first began in the new building in 2013/14 as activity group leader.
“Casey has always been a very dedicated educator and has shared her knowledge and skills with many students over the years,” Orbost Kindergarten education leader Shelley Millward said.
“She is very efficient and very organised which have been wonderful skills to bring to the team and the kinder.
“Casey has helped mould hundreds of young people’s lives as they have moved through the kinder and has always been passionate about making sure all children get the very best from their time at kinder.
“She has worked with many other educators over the years and has always been a great teammate always happy to step up when required.
“This (farming) is certainly where Casey’s heart lays and we wish her and her family all the very best in this new stage of their lives.
“While Casey may be finished in a regular position we do hope she will return at some stage in a casual capacity.”
