Sometimes things police officers come across are just beyond belief.
At approximately 3.50pm on Sunday, May 31 the Orbost Police intercepted a grey Hyundai, travelling on the Princes Highway at Wombat Creek.
The 64-year-old male driver from Mornington returned an evidentiary breath test reading of 0.194, which is nearly four times the legal limit.
The male also tested positive to a number of drugs and disturbingly was detected by police travelling at 134 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone while towing a trailer and also having a suspended driver’s licence.
Thankfully his car was immediately impounded, but bizarrely this is the third time in three months that this same male has had his car impounded for drink driving, excessive speeds and driving while suspended.
