On Thursday, May 8, Marlo’s Penelope Quin was presented
with a Victorian Service Award by Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Gardener AC, Governor of Australia and Patron of Australian Red Cross Victoria, at Government House.
This award was for her services to Red Cross. Penny joined Red Cross on February 1, 1999, and received her 20-year service bar in 2022.
Currently Penny is president of Marlo Red Cross Branch and Zone 7 chairman. She is also an active member of emergency services and is a team leader and team convenor.
Penny has served Red Cross with distinction over many years and has also presented the Red Cross Pillowcase Program to more than 17 schools in the area. A program which teaches children about preparedness.
The presentations were attended by recipients and two guests. A lovely morning tea followed.
