One2One Victoria has launched with a clear mission: to provide responsive, rights-based support that enhances the quality of life for people with disabilities across the region.
Led by director Leanne Glover, One2One Victoria is built on a foundation of social justice and a person-centred approach, aiming to fill a vital need for tailored care in the community.
Ms Glover said the organisation’s focus is on understanding the unique complexities and challenges faced by individuals and their families, and providing support that is both empowering and respectful.
A key pillar of the service is its team of highly trained and supported support workers. One2One Victoria places a strong emphasis on a human rights framework, ensuring that staff are equipped to uphold the dignity and choices of every client.
It is aware of the importance of trust and the confidence that clients need to feel with their support provider, according to Ms Glover. That’s why the One2One team is committed to building strong, supportive relationships.
The organisation’s commitment to wellbeing is holistic, addressing what they term the ‘Dimensions of Wellness,’ which include a person’s physical, emotional, social, intellectual and environmental health.
This model ensures that support is comprehensive and enhances all areas of a person’s life.
Reflecting its deep-rooted principles of respect, One2One Victoria also includes a formal Acknowledgement of Country in its core values, paying respects to the Elders past, present and future of the Gunaikurnai people and all First Nations people.
Its services are rooted in social justice principles ensuring people with disabilities receive support that is empowering, valuing and respectful.
One2One Victoria is now welcoming enquiries from individuals and families in East Gippsland seeking quality disability support.
