Earlier this month, a nifty new device was installed in waiting areas across Orbost Regional Health (ORH).
Feedback from the community has always been essential to deliver accessible, safe healthcare services across far East Gippsland.
For the first time ever, the electronic Customer Feedback Systems (CFS) gives ORH real-time feedback to understand what the community thinks about their healthcare experiences.
The feedback systems are located in the main hospital and medical clinic reception areas, outside the dental clinic and near the urgent care centre exit.
Aged care residents and their families and visitors have also been using the electronic feedback system to give timely and actionable insight about how to deliver the best possible aged care experiences.
To seek feedback from clients using community and home-based service:
– An electronic feedback system is located near the entrance at Neighbourhood House for visitors and program attendees;
– Press-button devices are carried by the home visiting nurses and the Community Home Support Service’s domestic assistance, property maintenance and personal care team members.
Although community members who request a follow-up with them are asked to provide their contact details, all other feedback provided on the electronic system is totally anonymous.
Each month ORH staff from each service receive a ‘report card’ showing them their areas of excellence, and opportunities for them to improve the care
they provide.
Their health service management team and board of directors review the feedback each month and monitor trends, to ensure their services continue to meet the community’s needs.
The friendly ORH staff can provide a demonstration to show you how to use the new electronic
feedback system.
