Seventy-two riders and 12 support crew came together for a three-day cycling adventure along the East Gippsland Rail Trail as part of this year’s Great East Rail Trail Ride.
Riders enjoyed stunning scenery across the three days of riding, starting from Bairnsdale and cycling their way through to Bruthen, Nowa Nowa and Wyanga Park Winery before finishing up in Orbost.
Off the bikes, there was plenty to do and enjoy, with guest talks from Dan of Bob’s Burrow, Holly Baird from Friends of Beware Reef Marine Sanctuary, and Georgia Angus, an artist and author who led an interesting bird walk and talk.
There was also trivia, a mini market with local stall holders, bingo night, live music
and more.
