Orbost Raiders compete at Morwell

The Orbost Raiders were represented by seven teams at the Morwell tournament last weekend, achieving some impressive results.

The weekend ran smoothly with 60 junior players involved, combining well with volunteers who coached, managed and scored.

The under 14 girls had an impressive weekend, making it through to the semi-final where they went down to Moe.

In the under 12 boys, Orbost was successful in three of their four matches, including a convincing 48-12 victory over Shepparton.

The under 16 girls were successful in two of their four contests, narrowly going down to Wonthaggi in another.

The under 16 boys toiled hard, rewarded by a morale boasting win over Foster.

In the under 14 boys, the Raiders beat Bairnsdale and drew with Meeniyan, the best of their four weekend efforts.

The under 12 boys finished the tournament strong with a win over Leongatha, while the under 19 girls were competitive

without winning.

The Orbost Raiders under 16 girls side was coached by Belinda Borley at the Morwell tournament and included Kayley Robinson, Jemima Seal, Isabella-Rose Burt, Gemma Geer, Imlay Pickalla, Kitty Millward, Billie Young, Leila Barnes and Isabella Barnes. (PS)
Dayne Jorgenson coached the under 19 Orbost Raiders girls side at the Morwell tournamnet, which contained players, Jaya Hough, Brooke Farley, Nikki Farley, Kira-Lee Burn, Leni Millward, Mia Martin, Abbey Vernon and Lily Gardam. (PS)
