The Mallacoota Gun Club recently hosted its annual two day club championship, with Max Oakley winning the major award.
The event attracted 46 competitors, who shot 75 targets on each day, with competition hot, with 12 month bragging rights up for grabs.
Oakley was in superb form, winning the High Gun and Mallacoota Club Championship.
Robin Perkins was crowned ladies champion, outpointing Kerry Donald and Olga Packer.
As always, “A” grade was hotly contested, with Terry Young prevailing over Doug Alcock and Justin Van Putten.
Colin Brownlie was successful in “B” grade from Anthony Paliew and Paul Clark.
Gary Vickers was all smiles after claiming “C” grade from Bryan Fraser and Murray Millar.
The future of the club was on display in the junior championship, with the talented James Fraser winning from Maddie Gilmour and Alistair Scott.
The next monthly shoot is on November 1.
