The annual reunion of the Kalimna West Young Farmers happened at the Swan Reach Hotel last week with 31 people attending the luncheon.
There were five ex-presidents of district Young Farmers Groups in attendance, including Ray Kleinitz who was the founding president of the Kalimna West club, Len Rowe, Michael Howlett, Neville Evans and Eric Blennerhassett.
Kalimna West was a very strong club in its day and even won most progressive club in 1962, which was a big thing. Dignitaries came from Melbourne to make the presentation.
The annual get together is held
on the last Saturday in November, with next year’s event being a very special one.
