The Koala Island Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the Raymond Island Koala Trail Digital Tour Guide, a new mobile app designed to transform the visitor experience on Raymond Island – one of Victoria’s most loved wildlife destinations.
The launch will take place Monday, December 15 at 11.45am at the Raymond Island Community Hall.
“This digital tour guide marks an exciting new chapter for Raymond Island,”
Koala Island Foundation president, Robyn Peile said.
“It gives visitors the opportunity to learn more deeply about our koalas and natural environment, while supporting responsible and sustainable tourism.
“With the welcome support of the Community Bank Paynesville & District, we have been able to develop a highly professional product.
“We’re incredibly proud of what has been created, and deeply grateful to the passionate Raymond Island volunteers, residents and supporters who helped bring this project
to life.
“This is a wonderful example of what community-led conservation and education can achieve.”
Community, council, tourism, business representatives have been invited and media representatives are warmly invited to attend.
Built on the STQRY platform and available for download via the Apple App Store and Google Play, the digital tour guide offers a rich and interactive experience for people of all ages.
Features include:
– Self-guided trail navigation
– Educational content on Raymond Island’s wildlife, history and environment
– Short videos, audio narration and
visitor tips
– A dedicated kids’ section, including games and activities
– Easy access to visitor information,
facilities, directions and links to local businesses
Guests are encouraged to bring their mobile phones for a live demonstration of how the app enhances the Koala Trail experience.
Refreshments will follow at the Koala Café.
