While news of the national parent company’s voluntary administration has made headlines across the country, the team at Aussie Disposals Bairnsdale is sending a clear message to the community: it is business as usual at the local store.
Owner Steve Butler, who recently moved back from overseas to take the helm at the Bairnsdale store, wants to reassure residents that the store is here for the long term.
“Even though our parent company has gone into voluntary administration, we are proud to be Bairnsdale’s only locally owned and operated camping and outdoor store and we are not going anywhere” Steve said.
The clarification comes at an exciting time for the business as it prepares for the 2026 snow season.
The store is currently fully stocked with essential winter gear, including high-quality snow clothing, footwear and snow chains.
Steve said his return to the region reflects his commitment to the local community and his desire to provide expert service and competitive pricing to Gippsland adventurers.
