The Orbost Arts Centre will host its next Sunday Sessions music event this weekend, featuring East Gippsland rock and blues trio Walking Wounded on Sunday, August 23.
The performance promises an afternoon of original compositions and classic covers, blending energetic rock and blues rhythms.
Comprising local musicians Chris Notsis on guitar, Steve Holgate on bass, and Mark Glennister on drums, the group is known for its dance-friendly tempos and collaborative vocal performances, with all three members sharing singing duties.
Walking Wounded originally formed as a duo in 2023 after Holgate and Notsis connected via the music platform BandMix.
The project subsequently expanded, eventually consolidating into the current three-piece lineup with the addition of Glennister on drums.
The Sunday Session is designed to provide a relaxed, social atmosphere for local music lovers while supporting emerging East Gippsland artists.
Doors at the Orbost Arts Centre will open at 1.30pm, with the music scheduled to begin at 2pm.
Entry to the event is by gold coin donation, and a bar offering light snacks and refreshments will be operating throughout the afternoon.
