Sailors Grave Brewing is hosting its own Oktoberfest this Saturday, September 19, from 12pm to 6pm at Dunetown in Marlo, promising beer, music, German-inspired food and plenty of competitions.
A $40 ticket includes a Sailors Grave stein, a first beer and live music, with free camping available for Oktoberfest guests and a return bus at $20.
Tickets are on sale now.
The brewery is bringing a German-inspired food menu designed to pair with a stein of beer, including a special Bierwurst sausage plate with Meatsmith.
Live music comes courtesy of The Beez – a yodelling, thigh-slapping duo featuring Deta C. Rayner on accordion and vocals and Rob Rayner on guitar and vocals.
Their set mixes German classics, Bavarian ballads and international favourites, with nods to Rammstein, Kraftwerk, Nena and Marlene Dietrich.
On tap are Leviathan Kölsch, Czech Pils and Five Ships, alongside a guest tap of Wolf of the Willows Märzen – crisp, malty and made for steins and shouts of “Prost!”
Things are set to get competitive with keg throwing, stein holding and more, with prizes, glory and bragging rights on the line.
