The planned release of a high volume of water into the Snowy River from the catchment dams higher up in the Snowy Mountains is still scheduled to go ahead next month despite the concerns of farmers.
Farmers in the Orbost region, who farm on the Snowy River flats, have recently had their properties under water following heavy rainfall.
Dennis Reynolds, whose 200-acre flat country farm is about seven kilometres east of Orbost, has experienced the worst of the floodwaters.
Mr Reynolds recently confirmed that his farm has been flooded four times this year.
He remains concerned that pre-planned environmental releases from the Jindabyne dam could contribute to further flooding of his farmland.
