Tins will once again be rattling through the streets of Orbost as part of the Good Friday Appeal, and locals are being asked to give generously for a good cause.
The Good Friday Appeal raises vital funds to enable The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne to provide world class care to children, and once again will be supported locally by Orbost, Marlo and Newmerella volunteers who will hitch a ride on the Country Fire Authority trucks around the district in full force on Good Friday, collecting donations for the appeal.
Last year the Orbost area raised $14,459 while Marlo contributed a further $3986, and this year, volunteers are back to do it all again.
