Mallacoota hosted the first round of the Major League Fishing Australia last weekend, the event dominated by Declan Betts and Lewis Holland. Weighing in a crazy bag of five bream on day two, for an incredible 6.105 kilograms, Betts and Holland banked a combined total of 11.108kg.
The total was enough to comfortably defeat second-placed Mark Healey and Liam Carruthers, who finished with a total of 9.767kg, marginally ahead of the third placed Ahmad Mahfoud and Rabih Itani (9.266kg).
It was a huge weekend for Betts and Holland, winning the event, biggest bag and largest individual fish (1.41kg).
Part of the first prize was a spot in the Major League Fishing series final at Wheeler Lake in the United States.
The event attracted 16 teams.
