Comedic duo The Nelson Twins and former St Kilda AFL footballer Justin Koschitzke dazzled the Orbost Club Hotel with comedy and insight last Wednesday night.
The Old Bottleshop at the Orbost Club Hotel was brimming with laughter and profound insights as the comedy twins, one of the most unique stand-up comedy acts in the world.
The Nelson Twins, renowned for their cheeky humour and bush ranger beards, have been performing together since 2006. Hailing from the rural New South Wales town of Walbundrie, the twins have made a name for themselves with their cracking one-liner jokes and dynamic on-stage bickering.
Their impressive TV credits include appearances on Australia’s Got Talent, The Footy Show, and many more. In addition to their comedic talents, they are qualified school teachers and creators of the Stand Up And Be Counted workshop, a personal development program focusing on leadership, teamwork and public speaking.
Joining them on stage was Justin Koschitzke, whose post-AFL career has tran-sitioned into mental health advocacy. His speeches connect urban and rural audiences alike, offering insights that bridge the gap between city life and the agricultural heartlands.
Koschitzke’s narrative of transformation from elite sports to mental health advocacy resonates deeply, fostering resilience and offering practical support to diverse audiences.
The event captivated attendees of all ages.
“All speakers were engaging and had the audience who ranged in age from young men and women to many middle-aged invested in the content, and able to relate to Justin’s heartfelt conversations as well as sit in fits of laughter from the crude comedy of The Nelson Twins,” Maddison Fecondo, a staff member at Orbost Club Hotel, said.
