This weekend, Orbost local Donna Donchi is hosting a special “Girls Night Out” fundraiser in support of the Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation, bringing together local women for an evening of fun and camaraderie.
Donna has been working tirelessly to organise the event, which aims to both raise awareness for an important cause and offer the community a chance to come together and enjoy a relaxed evening.
The Marlo Angling Club has generously donated its venue for the night, which will feature music, a warm fire pot or two and plenty of opportunities for socialising.
The event is fully catered, and tickets are available through herself direct.
Attendees will be treated to a night of dancing, courtesy of DJ Deb Bozsan, who will be spinning the tunes. For those feeling particularly bold, a karaoke session is also planned, inviting participants to sing their hearts out.
A bus service will be available to ferry guests to and from Marlo, ensuring everyone can enjoy the night safely.
Ticketing information can be obtained by contacting the Snowy River Mail office.
This cause is one close to Donna’s heart, her beloved granddaughter, Emmie, tragically passed away after battling infant ALL – Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, leaving a lasting mark on the family.
Donna’s personal experience has inspired her dedication to helping others affected by similar conditions.
The Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation plays a crucial role in the fight against blood cancers such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Additionally, the foundation supports those suffering from autoimmune diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS) as well as blood disorders such as anaemia.
Bone marrow or stem cell transplants often represent the best chance of recovery for many patients, and the Arrow Foundation is committed to funding critical medical research aimed at improving treatments for these diseases.
The foundation also offers invaluable support to transplant patients and their families as they navigate the challenges of treatment and recovery.
Join Donna and the community this Saturday for an unforgettable evening, all while contributing to a cause that could save lives.
