Orbost Snowy Rovers overcame Lucknow to snatch the premiership in the East Gippsland Football Netball League “A” grade grand final last Saturday at Bairnsdale City Oval.
It was statistically Lucknow’s trophy to win, with the ladder leading side only losing one match in the home and away season to Stratford, while Orbost finished up in fourth.
Orbost had previously lost its matches to Lucknow in the three times the two sides me, however this wasn’t the case last Saturday.
With the Blues army turning out in droves to support the netball side, Orbost took the trophy home by seven goals.
The celebrations from “A” grade and the thirds carried on well into the night, with the club also hosting its presentation night.
