With the weather kind, social bowls was popular at Orbost Bowling Club, as the dedicated members take every opportunity to hone their skills with the pennant season commencing on October 12.
Wednesday saw the usual two games of 10 ends with only one team winning both their games.
The winning combination was Geoffrey Robinson, Lyn Broersen, Ted Nowak and Des Edwards.
Sunday saw two games of 10 ends with Des again among the winners, this time as the skip assisted by Darryl and Maurice Frank.
The next social bowls session will be played today with players asked to be at the club by 10.30am.
This will be the last Wednesday session as social bowls will revert back to Thursday afternoons.
The Thursday format going forward will see pennant practice at 10am followed by a BYO lunch and social bowls in the afternoon.
Pennant practice will also be held at 10am on Saturdays until the season.
