Wonderful news for all music lovers – on Sunday, November 17 at 2pm, Gippsland Opera will host a wonderful concert in the stunning St Mary’s Church.
Baritone Nathan Lay, who grew up in Gippsland, is now regularly starring with Opera Australia at Sydney Opera House and is making the journey to perform at this concert.
Nathan also performed with the famous Ten Tenors. He was also the voice of the male singer in the movie Falling for Figaro which starred Joanna Lumley. When you listen to him to sing, you will understand why he is so much in demand – what a voice.
Brigid DeNeefe, who has been performing with Gippsland Opera for more than 10 years, will also take part. Not only can she sing and fill a football field with her voice, but she can act and hold the audience in the palm of her hands or have them rolling around laughing – there is no entertainer quite like Brigid.
Gippsland Opera audiences have been asking organisers to bring Bridgid back and they are delighted to say, here she is.
The popular East Gippsland Symphonia, who play for at Opera By The Lakes, will be performing the gorgeous music guests always enjoy.
Tickets are available at Book Orchard, or simply call Andrea Ford (details available at the Advertiser office).
A free program and afternoon tea available at interval in the Parish Centre. Further information is available at the Gippsland Opera.
