Snowy West Landcare was kind enough to invite students from Newmerella Primary School to assist in checking the nesting boxes along the rail trail near the school.
The target species is Sugar Gliders and the students enjoyed positioning the camera in the boxes to see if anything was inside.
Students in years five/six were lucky enough to encounter a Brushtail possum and multiple boxes with Sugar Gliders.
Students in grades two/three/four also had one box with multiple Sugar Gliders.
The outing was a great success and Newmerella Primary School thanked the Land carers for sharing this special opportunity.
