The upcoming 2024 Primary Health Awards will celebrate outstanding achievements and innovation across Gippsland, with this year’s theme, “Transformation,” honouring teams that have driven impactful change in patient care, workplace culture and access to healthcare.
Thirty-four nominees have been named across the categories.
The award categories are:
– Transforming practice through multidisciplinary care
– Transforming workplace culture
– Transforming care through digital solutions
– Transforming access to care through inclusive practice
The event, hosted by Gippsland Primary Health Network (PHN) is an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the rapid change and innovation taking place in the health care sector.
Gippsland PHN chief executive officer Amanda Proposch congratulated the nominees, thanking everyone who had entered the awards.
“The breadth, quality and strength of the nominations speaks to the incredible work happening in health care in Gippsland,” Ms Proposch said.
“The nominees are driving genuine innovation and transformation in care for people in our region. I’m excited to have an opportunity where we can come together to recognise and celebrate this work.”
The awards nominees range from small remote clinics to some of Gippsland’s largest health services, and capture creativity and innovation in the healthcare sector in Gippsland- from clinics offering virtual care solutions to new community-led models of care.
The event will also feature keynote speaker Dr Nick Coatsworth, one of Australia’s foremost experts in healthcare and a trusted voice in providing clear, evidence-based information to help guide public health policies and individual behaviour.
The winners will be announced at Gippsland PHN’s annual general meeting and awards ceremony on November 20.
