It was a great week for the Orbost Bowls Club in Gippsland Bowls Region pennant, with both the midweek and weekend sides victorious.
Division two recorded its third win of the season in the midweek section and are now second on the ladder.
Despite only winning the one rink, the Green Machine got home in a close one, 56-52.
Ron Hatcher’s team of Maurice Frank, Des Edwards and Beryl Dyce had an outstanding win of 32-7, which was the difference between the two combatants.
A much needed clean sweep at home has the weekend division one pennant side now up to 11th spot, Orbost too good late in the day, winning 67-47.
Geoff Lynn, Frank, Peter Coulton and Geoff Robinson led the way with a 27-13 victory, while Dyce, Bruce Kneebone, Karen Chenney, Geoff Aitken (21-18), and Ron Hatcher, Scott Farnell, Robyn Kellow and Bradley Lancaster (19-16) all had great afternoons.
